My name is Ariel.  I am a 23 year old Senior-level Business student at The University of Southern Mississippi.  I was born and raised in the South, and while I do plan to leave Mississippi after graduating, I would love to remain in the South somewhere.  I started this blog in 2011, while living in my first apartment with my best friend.  It has been nearly 5 years, and I am now living in a house with my boyfriend, our 2 cats, our husky, and a roommate.  I currently work as the Marketing Manager for a commercial real estate company, and love my job.  Regarding my future career, well, that is sort of all over the place.  I have goals in the Real Estate and Event Coordinating industries, however I also have a huge passion for many other things - writing, beauty and fashion, singing, and home economics, just to name a few.  Outside of my education from USM, I also briefly attended a few weeks worth of Cosmetology courses.  Blogging is something that I've always drifted to and away from over the years, and I love the community surrounding bloggers.  You never know what kinds of things I will decide to post.  Years ago, someone was referring to me, and said "she wakes up in a different world every day".  I can't think of anything more true. 

I began this blog, as previously mentioned, in 2011.  It has been nearly 5 years, and a lot has changed - I have revamped the site many times, branching out from initially a beauty review/tutorial site, to a general lifestyle blog.  The South is and will always be a huge part of my life, so I felt it was necessary to throw in the title - as for the "beautiful" and "mess"?  "Beautiful" came from the blog's initial start as a beauty/fashion blog, and "mess" is there because, well, who isn't a mess from time to time in their 20's?  I hope that you will enjoy my masterpiece mash-up of a blog, and even subscribe.  I also love to find new blogs, so please contact me at any time!
